MAKER
Summer Camps

Our summer camps focus on JOY, CREATIVITY, OUTDOOR & NATURE PLAY and LEADERSHIP with both structured and non-structured times.

Activities offered each week will adapt to the interests of the campers but may include:

• Learning alongside our medicinal plant expert and horticultural therapist in the garden;

• Exploring the frog pond or playing in the mud kitchen;

• Trying a variety of outdoor sports and games led by our enthusiastic junior and senior camp leaders;

• Yoga for fitness, fun and focused minds; 

• STEAM challenges, science experiments and art projects;

• MAKERSPACE using unusual art supplies, recycled materials and old electronics; 

• Quiet reading, writing and reflection times;

• Weather permitting, there may be land-water games (messages and reminders for any additional gear such as towels or swimsuits will be provided on the first day of camp).

Camp Pricing 
All camps run from 8:30am-4:30pm. (Sorry we don't have a before or after care program in the summer).

Changemaker Summer Camps (4-11yr olds):
5 day $275
4 day $225

Junior Leader Camps (10-14yr olds):
5 day $75

*Junior Leader Campers must be enthusiastic and willing participants with a passion to learn more about leading young children. Junior leaders must be able to attend all days of camp.

Our camps are open to everyone; children do not need to attend Calgary Changemaker School. *We do require that a support aide (provided by the family) accompany any child who has behavioural challenges, who may be a flight risk in an outdoor setting, or who has any physical or intellectual differences that might impact their ability to participate without extra support. 

We offer camps for children who are entering Kindergarten through grade 8 in 2022. All children should bring their own snacks and lunch (any allergy restrictions will be sent out one week prior to start of camp), sunscreen, bug spray and weather-appropriate clothing. There are no refunds after July 1st. Payment may be transferred to another camper (with a new registration form) or another week of camp if space is available. Registration is now open, and will remain open until spaces are filled.
