Applications for the 2023-2024 school year opens October 6th.

Are we right for your family? Please find our general admission guidelines below. For more detailed information on how we can fulfill the unique needs of your child we invite you to meet with us on a Zoom session.

  • We welcome families and students from all backgrounds, family structures, orientations, faiths and belief systems. Keeping an open mind and maintaining a willingness to learn are essential qualities in creating a safe, respectful and empathetic school community of Changemakers.

  • Building a thriving student community is very important to us. Our students are challenged to meet and exceed grade-level work in a 'hands-on' project-based, active and collaborative environment. It is important that students are willing to put in their best effort, are willing to try new things, and are able to work well with others.

  • Families in our school community must support an approach to education rooted in curiosity, outdoor play, creativity, wellness, empathy, exploration, flexibility, critical thinking, innovation and joy!

What do we offer?

  • A warm, compassionate and supportive learning environment.

  • Strong emphasis on wellness.

  • Small class sizes (average of 12 students per class).

  • Offering choice, voice and challenge in student learning.

  • Personalized learning that is tailored to student interests, passions, and abilities.

  • A strong emphasis on leadership and Changemaking.

  • Project and problem-based learning that requires a mind that enjoys depth and complexity.

  • Enrichment and 'whole-child' supports for all students including gifted (code 80) students.

  • A significant portion of our learning and play time is outdoors and/or in nature.

  • Forest School and/or context-based learning adventures every Wellness Wednesday.

  • Flex Friday option classes and clubs.
